Voting

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov 3

Michigan's early in-person voting runs Sat Oct 24 to Sun Nov 1, and Grand Rapids started early on Oct 20. Each city or township sets its early voting site, sometimes shared with neighbors, so use the one for where you are registered. In East Grand Rapids, Spring Lake, Saugatuck and Douglas, look yours up at Michigan.gov/Vote. On Election Day, polls are open 7:00a to 8:00p at your own precinct. You can still register in person at your city clerk's office through Election Day with proof of residency.

Every Michigan ballot has two statewide questions: Proposal 1 asks whether to hold a convention to rewrite the state constitution, and Proposal 2 would limit political donations from certain utilities and large government contractors. Local questions vary by precinct, so check your sample ballot at michigan.gov/vote. Michigan voter information has the details.
