Christmas lights in Newport Beach

Drive-through and walk-through displays, downtown lights and the neighborhoods people drive to see, with this year's dates from each organizer. Parades and tree lightings are on Holidays.

Lighting of the Bay and Fire & Lights Festival at Newport Dunes

Floating lights from dusk nightly; festival Thu to Sun 4:00p to 9:00p · Free entry; parking $15 for 30 minutes to 2 hours

More than 50 lit displays float on the Back Bay, rain or shine. Festival nights add free fire dancing Fri and Sat at 5:30p and 7:30p, and free Santa photos Saturdays 5:00p to 8:00p through Christmas. The festival is closed Dec 24 and 25 and around New Year's, so check their page. Inflatables cost extra.

Balboa Island bayfront homes (Ring of Lights)

South Bay Front and East Bay Front, Balboa Island

Waterfront homes go all out for the Ring of Lights contest, especially along South Bay Front and East Bay Front. Judging is Mon Dec 14, and the Christmas Boat Parade runs Dec 16 to 20.

Nights of 1000 Lights at Sherman Library & Gardens

An evening walk through the lit gardens with timed tickets, usually in December. Tickets are sold ahead only, not at the door. Check this year's dates on their page.
